Investigators with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information concerning recent copper pipe thefts and thefts of copper from air conditioning units in the Ellendale Community of Alexander County. On August 8, 2012 the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Breaking & Entering and Larceny that had occurred at a business on Church RD in Alexander County. During the crime, suspects removed several air conditioning units and copper pipes from around the building. Investigators have followed leads in the case, but no suspects have been identified yet. Several other locations in the same are have also had similar items taken recently. Investigators are asking for help from the public in identifying and locating the person(s) responsible for these crimes.
