Investigators Seeking Leads In Chainsaw Larceny Case

On March 26, 2012 Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a Larceny case involving chainsaws taken form a residence on Jay Burke RD in Taylorsville.  The stolen chainsaws were a described as a Husqvarna model 36 and a Husqvarna model 262.  The suspect in the case is described a young white female and was seen in surveillance footage exiting a dark colored Jeep Cherokee at the time of the Larcenies.  The suspect has dark colored hair and was wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time the incident occurred.  Investigators are seeking assistance from anyone who may know the identity of the female in the surveillance photo pictured.

Investigators Seeking Information From Public In Relation To Recent Break-ins

 

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division is seeking information pertaining to the identity of a male suspect involved in several recent break-ins at the Speedy Car Wash business located off NC Highway 16 South in Taylorsville.  The suspect is described as a white male, age 30-40 years old, and approximately 175-200 lbs.  The most recent break-in occurred on Sunday, April 22, 2012 around 10:50 p.m.  During this incident, the suspect was seen wearing a sweat shirt, blue jeans, and hiking boots and used what is believed to be a pry bar to break into some of the coin-operated machines located at the car wash.  The suspect left the scene in a crossover-type vehicle that is believed to be either a Honda or Hyundai.

Taylorsville Woman Arrested in Fraud Investigation; Sheriff Bowman Urges Other Victims to Come Forward

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested Melissa Caroline Bailey age 25 of Taylorsville on May 1, 2012.  Bailey was charged with three counts of Obtaining Property by a False Pretense.  Bailey is accused of obtaining money from area Churches under a False Pretense.  Bond was set at $10,000.  A first appearance is set for May 7, 2012.  Sheriff Chris Bowman is asking that any Church or Organization that may have had contact with this  suspect to please call the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office at 828-632-4658.  The investigation is continuing and more arrests may be forthcoming.

Taylorsville Woman Arrested for Obtaining Property by False Pretense

Shena Marie Carr age 24 of Taylorsville was arrested April 27, 2012.  She was charged with Obtain Property by a False Pretense.  The bond was set at $1000.00.  Trial date set for April 30, 2012.

Taylorsville Man Arrested for Larceny of Firearm

Patrick Lamont Parsons age 31 of Taylorsville was arrested April 21, 2012.  He was charged with Larceny of a Firearm.  The bond was set at $2500.00.  Trial date set for April 23, 2012.
